Training camps & Active holidays

A training camp is your opportunity to focus on your passion. For a weekend or a week, take the opportunity to eat, sleep, and train like a full-time athlete. Different options are available; all levels are welcome, including beginners (See section 4, "active holidays", bottom of the page).

Please note that individual or team sport athletes such as Golfers, Soccer players, Martial Arts fighters, Boxers, etc. are welcome and will undoubtedly optimise their overall and cardiovascular fitness. Aerobic fitness is one of the main determinants of any sport performance.

Non-participating members of your party will also find plenty to do and enjoy in the area. Provence is an area renowned for its natural beauty, with its lavender fields, olive groves and vineyards. The Parc Naturel Régional des Alpilles, with the nearby historical towns of Les Baux and Saint-Rémy, touristic sites such as Le Pont du Gard and the magnificent Mont Ventoux make this an ideal location in which to train and relax. Sight-seeing tours are included free of charge for those interested.

Running camp

Week-long training camp includes : (Sample here)

  • Fitness Test to determine your training zones.
  • Analysis of training data (bring heart rate monitor).
  • Structured training plan.
  • Trails, hills in scenic location (in "Frigolet" and "Les Alpilles").
  • Cinder track.
  • Nutritional and training advice.
  • One seminar about physiology and the determinants of running performance.
  • Price: €150 per person.

Cycling camp

Cyclists will be put in groups based on skill and strength, so whether you're a beginner or an experienced racer, each day will be appropriately challenging. Daily rides will be in the 1.5-4 hour range.

Week-long training camp includes : (Sample here)

  • Fitness Test to determine your training zones.
  • Structured training plan.
  • Nutritional and training advice.
  • Guided rides in "Les Alpilles" and "Les Baux".
  • Support car.
  • Mechanical support, workshop and range of tools available.
  • Analysis of training data (bring heart rate monitor and power meter if you have one).
  • Climb : "Le Ventoux" from one of the three routes leading up to the top; depending on your background and training status.
  • One seminar about physiology and the determinants of cycling performance.
  • Price: €200 per person.

Triathlon and Duathlon camps

Week-long training camp includes the same as sections 1 and 2 above, plus : (Sample here)

  • Swimming sessions.
  • Open water swimming.
  • Transition specific training.
  • One seminar about physiology and the determinants of triathlon / duathlon performance.
  • Price: €250 per person.

Active holidays

The benefits of regular physical activity on health, well-being and fitness level are well known. Take care of yourself and take a week where you will be introduced to physical activities ranging from short to longer walks and leisure bike rides in senic locations (bike rental shop in town). Picturesques paths and trails in Les Alpilles, les Baux de Provence and Frigolet are at our doorstep, you will definitely enjoy nature's calming effect on your soul.
